Happy Labor Day!

Sophia has had a busy past two days. Yesterday, we got up bright and early and headed over to the St. Paul Farmer's Market to get some veggies and chicken brats for our family bbq. While we were there, Sophia and I found a HUGE cabbage! I could hardly believe the size of it.

Sophia also had a taste of honey from a honey stand. She didn't really know what to make of it. Hal gave her some on his finger. After he tried a couple of different kinds, he found one he liked. We left the market and headed home for a snack.
Then it was off to Stillwater! We got downtown and headed straight to the Teddy Bear Park. Sophia discovered the sand and played in it for quite some time. She had a blast picking it up and letting it run through her fingers. We also buried my feet.

When we got home from Stillwater, it was time for a nap. Sophia again spent quite some time in the crib before she fell asleep. After she got up, Grandpa Hal came over for the family bbq. Sophia was thrilled that he came over! We spent some time hanging out before we had a great dinner hamburgers and chicken brats on the grill. When we got done eating, Sophia took some time to pose with her nana and Grandpa Hal for a picture. Take a look at the little ham!

Today, we started off the busy day with a big walk through Stonemill Farms in Woodbury. After walking from one end of the development to the other we decided to call it quits. It was much too humid for us to keep going. We got back in the car and headed back home to play toys.
After having an early lunch we decided to head some place cool to walk around. We were off to look around at Maplewood Mall. When we got there we weren't surprised that the mall was quite busy. There were lots of people out doing their last minute back-to-school shopping. We looked around for quite some time and got the couple things we needed and headed home so Sophia could have a big girl nap.
The rest of our evening will be filled with dinner, laundry, and getting ready for the 1st day of school. Happy Labor Day!

Yay - Teddy Bear Park! We'll have a blast there next summer when Ella can actually play with Sophia! Sounds like you had a nice relaxing weekend. :)
